Our Commitment

CryptoToolkit is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards. Our target conformance level is WCAG 2.2 Level AA — the internationally accepted standard for web accessibility and the benchmark required under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the UK Equality Act 2010, the European Accessibility Act (EAA), and Australia's Disability Discrimination Act (DDA).

Measures We Have Taken

The following accessibility features are implemented across CryptoToolkit:

• Skip to main content link — visible on keyboard focus, allowing users to bypass navigation on every page
• Semantic HTML landmarks — proper use of header, main, footer, and nav elements so screen reader users can navigate by region
• Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements are fully accessible via keyboard with visible focus indicators meeting WCAG 2.4.11 and 2.4.13 requirements
• Colour contrast — all text meets the WCAG AA minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 against background colours
• Screen reader support — ARIA labels, roles, and live regions are implemented on all interactive and dynamic components including the live price ticker and calculator inputs
• Reduced motion — all animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query, including the price ticker
• Touch target sizes — all interactive targets meet the WCAG 2.5.8 minimum of 24×24 CSS pixels, with most targets at 44×44 pixels following Apple and Google guidelines
• Page language — the HTML lang attribute is set to en on every page
• Unique page titles — every page has a unique, descriptive title announced by screen readers on navigation
• High contrast mode — the site is tested in Windows High Contrast Mode and focus indicators remain visible

Known Limitations

We are actively working toward full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance. Some calculator input fields may not yet have fully optimised error messaging for all screen reader combinations. We are addressing these as part of ongoing improvements. If you encounter a specific barrier, please contact us using the details below.

How We Test

We test accessibility using a combination of automated tools including eslint-plugin-jsx-a11y (integrated into our Next.js development environment), manual keyboard navigation testing, and screen reader testing with VoiceOver on macOS and iOS. We also use the axe DevTools browser extension for automated WCAG audits during development.
